Vue TV FAQ

As with life, sometimes things go on the fritz. Here are some basic tips and troubleshooting steps to get back to the entertainment.

Quick Tips

Adding Channels to Your Favorites List

  • Navigate to the Channel you want to add to your “Favorites” list.

  • In the top right corner of the screen, select the Heart icon. Once selected, your selected channel will be added to your favorites.

Removing Channels From Your Favorites

  • Navigate to the Channel you want to remove to your “Favorites” list.

  • In the top right corner of the screen, unselect the Heart icon. Once unselected, this channel will be removed to your favorites.

Fixing Common MGW Vue TV issues

Ensure you are signed into your Google Account:

If you are unsure if you are logged into your Google Account, a notification icon with a number will appear on the home screen next to the Settings icon (gear).

  1. Press the HOME button on your remote.

  2. If you are not signed into any Google Accounts, a notification icon will appear in the top right corner. Select the notification icon.

  3. Select Sign into Google Accounts.

  4. Enter your credentials and follow the screen prompts.

Application error or the application crashes while streaming:

  1. Check for an application update in your app store. If an update is available, please install it.

  2. Check for device software updates and install.

  3. Close the VUETV Application and reopen it.

  4. Reboot the Streaming Device

  5. Uninstall the VUETV Application and Reinstall it

Uninstalling the Vue TV Application on a Lingo provided device (Android TV):

  1. Press the Home button on your Lingo Remote.

  2. Navigate to the Settings icon in the top right corner

  3. Select Apps.

  4. Locate and select the VUETV Application.

  5. Select Uninstall.

Reinstalling the Vue TV Application:

  1. Navigate to the device’s app store.

  2. Search for VUETV and follow the prompts for installation.

Ensure Your Streaming Device is Up-to-date

  • MGW Provided Box: Android TV

    1. Press the HOME button on your Lingo remote.

    2. Select the gear icon in the top right corner to open settings.

    3. Choose About, then System Update.

    4. The device will check for updates to the Android Platform.

    FYI: Ensure your device remains plugged in and you are signed into your Google account for automatic system updates.

  • MGW Vue TV App

    1. Press the HOME button on your Lingo remote.

    2. Navigate to the red tile that says Apps.

    3. Select Get More Apps.

    4. Navigate to the top right corner, click on your profile icon.

    5. Select Manage Apps & Games.

    6. Select Updates followed by Check for Updates.

    FYI: To automatically receive updates, keep the device connected to a power source, connected to the internet, and a Google Account associated with your account be signed into on the device.

  • Roku

    To Update your Roku Device:

    1. Press the Home button your remote

    2. Select Settings.

    3. Select System.

    4. Select System Update.

    5. Select Check Now.

    To Update an application:

    1. Navigate to the app you wish to update.

    2. Press *

    3. Click Check for Updates.

  • Amazon Fire TV

    Your fire TV should update the device automatically. If you want to ensure you have the latest updates, please navigate to Settings, then AppStore. It will say on under Automatic Updates.

    On Fire TV go to Settings

    1. Select My Fire TV.

    2. Select About, then Check for System update.

    To make sure a particular application is up to date.

    1. Navigate to the VUETV Application

    2. If an update is available or needed, instead of an Open icon an Update one will appear.
