Custom Call Features

  • Call Forwarding Call forward-Busy

    Lets you predetermine a number which all calls will be forwarded when your line is busy.

  • Call Forward Busy Activation

    1. Dial *90 and listen for 2 short bursts. Don’t hang up.

    2. Dial the number to be forwarded to and wait for an answer, if there is no answer repeat steps 1 & 2 and wait for 2 short bursts. The feature is now active.

  • Call Forward-No Answer

    Lets you predetermine a number to which all calls will be forwarded when there is no answer after a certain number of rings.

  • Call Forward-No Answer Activation

    1. Dial *92 and listen for 2 short bursts. Don’t hang up.

    2. Dial the number of rings and then the number to be forwarded to. If there is no answer, repeat steps 1 & 2 and wait for the short bursts. The feature is now active. Ex: *92 4 5409252255

  • Call Waiting

    Lets you know someone else is trying to call you when you are using your phone. You will hear a beep tone.

    If you do nothing on the first beep, there will be a second beep in ten seconds.

    1. If you want to answer the second call and put the first call on hold, press and release the switchhook*. The first call will be put on hold and you will be connected to the second call.

    2. To return to the first call, press and release the switchhook* again. You can switch back and forth between the two calls as often as you want.

    3. If you hear a beep tone and want to end the first call, hang up. Your phone will then ring.

    *The switchhook is the button the the handset pushes down when you hang up the phone.

  • Cancel Call Waiting

    Lets you precent beep tones from interrupting calls on a per-call basis.

    Before making a call:

    1. From Touch-Tone service: Dial 70, then “#” button, wait for two beeps and a dial tone. From rotary-dial phones: Dial 70, wait for two beeps and a dial tone.

    2. Dial the number.

    3. Call waiting is automatically restored when you complete your call.

    During a call:

    1. Press and release the switchhook* to put your call on hold.

    2. From Touch-Tone service: Dial 70, then “#” button, a beep tone is heard. You will be reconnected to the call. From rotary-dial phones: wait for two beeps and a dial tone. From rotary-dial phones: Dial 70, a beep tone is heard.

    3. Call waiting is automatically restored when you complete your call.

    *The switchhook is the button the the handset pushes down when you hang up the phone.

  • Select Forward

    Allows you to select up to twelve telephone numbers you want forwarded to a special locations. Only those calls will be forwarded to whatever telephone number you wish.

    TO USE SELECT FORWARD

    1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone.

    2. Press *63. A recording will announce whether Select Forward is on or off.

    3. Next, the following instructions will be heard:

    For Touch Call:

    • To turn Select Forward on enter 3

    • To Add an entry to your list enter #

    • To Remove an entry from your list enter *

    • To Hear then entries on your list enter 1

    • To Listen to instructions again enter 0

    For Rotary:

    • To turn Select Forward on enter 3

    • To Add an entry to your list enter 12

    • To Remove an entry from your list enter 11

    • To Hear then entries on your list enter 1

    • To Listen to instructions again enter

    Additional recordings will provide further instructions.

    Note: When turning Select Forward off you must follow prompts to verify the number you are forwarded to before you may turn the service off.

  • Selective Call Acceptance

    Allows you to program your telephone with up to 32 numbers from which you will accept calls. All other calls will reach an announcement indicating you are not accepting calls at this time.

    To Use Selective Call Acceptance

    1. Lift handset.

    2. Press *64. A recording will announce whether Call Acceptance is on or off.

    3. Next, the following instructions will be heard:

    For Touch Call:

    To turn Select Forward on enter 3
    To Add an entry to your list enter #
    To Remove an entry from your list enter *
    To Hear then entries on your list enter 1
    To Listen to instructions again enter 0

    For Rotary:

    To turn Select Forward on enter 3
    To Add an entry to your list enter 12

    To Hear then entries on your list enter 1
    To Listen to instructions again enter 0

  • Caller ID

    Caller ID enables you to view the number of the caller after the first ring allowing you to make an informed decision whether or not to answer the phone. It allows you to identify priority calls as well as ignore unwanted calls. Caller ID requires an additional piece of equipment, either a small display unit that is easily connected to your existing telephone or a special telephone with a display.

    This feature works only for calls between service providers having this feature capability.

  • Call Block

    Allows you to program you rphone to reject calls form up to 32 specific numbers.

    To Use Call Block

    1. Lift handset.

    2. Press *60. A recording will announce whether Call Block is on or off.

    3. Next, the following instructions will be heard:

    For Touch Call:

    To turn Select Forward on enter 3
    To Add an entry to your list enter #
    To Remove an entry from your list enter *
    To Hear then entries on your list enter 1
    To Listen to instructions again enter 0

    For Rotary:

    To turn Select Forward on enter 3

  • Speed Calling

    Lets you call numbers by dialing only one or two digits.

    You can choose an 8 or 30 number Speed Calling service.

    Numbers can be either local or long distance.

    Keep a list of your Speed Calling numbers.

    To call the phone numbers selected for Speed Calling from Touch-Tone service, listen for dial tone, Dial the one or two-digit number code and the “3” button. From rotary phones, just dial the code.

    To Enter or Chance Speed Calling Numbers: Speed Calling 8

    1. Select a number (2 through 9) as your code.

    2. From Touch-Tone Service: Dial 74, then the “#” button, listen for dial tone.

    3. From rotary-dial phones: Dial 74, listen for dial tone.

    4. Dial the number you have selected and the complete phone number, including 1 + Area Code if needed.

    5. Two beeps mean the Speed Calling number has been entered.

    Speed Calling 30:

    1. Select a number (20 through 49) as your code.

    2. From Touch-Tone Service: Dial 75, then the “#” button, listen for dial tone.

    3. From rotary-dial phones: Dial 75, listen for dial tone.

    4. Dial the number you have selected and the complete phone number, including 1 + Area Code if needed.

    5. Two beeps mean the Speed Calling number has been entered.

  • 3-Way Calling

    Lets you add a third person to your phone conversation.

    Can be used whether you have received or placed the call.

    1. Press and release the switchhook* to put your first call(er) on hold. Listen for dial tone.

    2. Dial the third person’s number. You can talk before or without including the first call(er).

    3. To bring the first call(er) back on the line press and release the switchhook*. All three parties will be on the line.

    If the first party hangs up, you can add another third party by repeating steps 1, 2, and 3. To disconnect the third party, press the switchhook twice. You may then add a different third party. All parties are disconnected when you hang up.

  • Call Waiting for 3-Way Calling

    Lets you answer a second call while involved in a 3-way call, as long as they are not the party initiating the 3-way call.

  • 3-Way Call Chaining

    Lets both of the non-controlling parties in a 3-way call, who have 3-way calling, add on additional parties.
